Space Tech Expo 2023

The Institute of Technical Physics was represented together with the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics at this year's Space Tech Expo in Bremen from 14 - 16 November 2023 with over 600 exhibitors and over 6000 visitors. Together with colleagues from the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics, the project “Impulse Orbital Sustainability” was presented. In this project, several institutes are working on a holistic approach for the space ecosystem and addressing the sustainability aspects over the entire life cycle of satellites, from construction and commissioning to maintenance, inspection, lifetime extension, recycling and disposal. The Institute of Technical Physics is contributing to the detection, positioning and evaluation of space debris.
