The Institute of System Architectures in Aeronautics is located in Hamburg-Finkenwerder at the Center of Applied Aeronautical Research (ZAL). It is one of the six DLR institutes in Hamburg. Hamburg is the world's third-largest Aviation Hub. The institute is directly adjacent to industry partners such as Airbus or Lufthansa Technik.
How to get here
With public transport From main station, take the U-Bahn to "Landungsbrücken" station and then switch to the ferry line 62 all the way to the terminus station "Finkenwerder". From "Altona" station, take either bus line X86 or 112 to the ferry terminal "Teufelsbrück." From there take the ferry line 64 across the Elbe to "Rüschpark" station. From each of the ferry stations it is a short walk to the ZAL.
By car Take the Autobahn A7 and get off at exit "Hamburg-Waltershof (Exit 30)". Drive in the direction of "Finkenwerder". Follow the "Finkenwerder Straße", turn right onto "Auer Hauptdeich" in the direction of the central area of Finkenwerder. At the roundabout, take a right into "Schloostraße", then a left turn into "Finksweg" and another left into "Hein-Saß-Weg". Follow the street, the ZAL is on your right.
