The Large-Electrode Plasma Chamber allows the generation of the world's largest 2-dimensional systems consisting of levitated particle clouds (microparticles) in a plasma and their dynamic investigation, e.g. for the investigation of active matter, phase transitions, and general questions from statistical physics.
