Approaching the wind turbine
The unmanned DLR superARTIS small helicopter exchanged information with the wind turbine so that it could approach it safely. This included, for example, the operating status of the individual wind turbines and weather information. For a realistic scenario in the 'Upcoming Drones Windfarm' project, the researchers attached a payload to the aircraft.
