The world through the eyes of a robot
The Surface Avatar experiments make it possible for NASA astronaut Frank Rubio to see the world through the eyes of a robot. This image shows the perspective of the humanoid DLR robot Rollin' Justin as it places a seismometer on the ground. For orientation in space, there is a small map on the left side of the image. On the right side are the command options that the robot in Oberpfaffenhofen can receive from the astronaut on board the ISS.
