Cooperations

The competence centre offers comprehensive knowledge in the field of wood applications in vehicle structures. This includes not only knowledge of traditional wood-based materials, but also innovative technologies and composite materials.

The centre focuses on driving forward research and development in order to optimise wood in vehicle structures. Through technology transfer, the latest findings and innovations are transferred directly into practice. This enables partners to benefit from advanced wood technologies without having to build up their own extensive research capacities.

One focus is on promoting environmentally friendly vehicle structures through the use of sustainable wood sources and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. Technology transfer enables partners to quickly switch to sustainable solutions and realise the positive environmental impact in their products.

The competence centre is working on the development of lightweight timber structures to increase vehicle efficiency and reduce energy consumption in the use phase and during production. Through technology transfer, partners can benefit from the latest advances in the field of lightweight timber construction and improve their products accordingly.

Partnerships with other organisations, research institutions and industry players promote a lively exchange of knowledge and resources. Close co-operation makes it possible to integrate best practice and experience from different sectors, leading to innovative solutions and a broader understanding of wood technology.
