Like a mini version, the patch of Matthias Maurer's Cosmic Kiss' mission floats next to a copy of the Nebra Sky Disc in the Cupola observation deck on the International Space Station (ISS). Inspired by the 3600-year-old sky disc, the Cosmic Kiss mission patch represents the special connection that the space station creates between the inhabitants of Earth and the cosmos.
