Double deployment: TOGS transportable ground station and OGS stationary ground station
The Optical Ground Station (OGS) in Oberpfaffenhofen is installed on the roof of the DLR Institute of Communication and Navigation. Installed right next to it is the DLR Transportable Optical Ground Station (TOGS). Both stations are equipped with high-precision alignment units that are optimised to the conditions of data transmission from outer space.
