This year's Christmas image features the TanDEM-X digital elevation model of southern Africa – a region with significant potential for low-cost green hydrogen production, owing to its abundant solar and wind resources. Namibia, highlighted on the left, has prioritized green hydrogen as a key component of its vision for economic growth. The country aims to position itself as a leader in the emerging global green hydrogen market. Through this vision, Namibia seeks to drive industrialization, achieve energy security, and enhance the prosperity of its citizens, while making a valuable contribution to global decarbonization efforts.
