We are very pleased to announce that our colleague Dr. Francescopaolo Sica is the recipient of the Living Planet Fellowship 2018 from the European Space Agency (ESA). It consists of a two-years Post-Doctoral co-financing program for carrying out a research project at a host Institution in an eligible ESA member state. Francescopaolo won for his project proposal named HI-FIVE, aimed at modeling backscatter signatures and temporal coherence dynamic of Sentinel-1 together with the generation of high-resolution forest-coverage and deforestation maps from InSAR data. We congratulate Francescopaolo and wish him all the best for the future!
