Measurement and Testing Technology

Equipping a modular wind tunnel model with a span of 1 m and an airfoil depth of 30 cm with pressure and acceleration sensors

In the research field of measuring and testing technology, we are involved in the development of miniaturised, multi-channel measuring electronics and measuring amplifiers for rotating systems up to 10,000 rpm and accelerations of up to 150G. Miniaturised circuits using chip bonding technology fitted to ceramic substrates are also developed to resolve issues regarding restricted space circumstances.

We develop preamplifiers for the differential low ohmic – and therefore interference-free – transmission of analogue measurement signals across large distances of up to 100 metres.

The components in the measurement chain are modified to accommodate the specific tasks in aeroelastic analysis of aviation structures and in wind tunnels.
