On January 24, visitors from the German Red Cross (GRC) from the Information Management and GIS departments came to the ZKI again. Representatives from the Heidelberg Institute for Geoinformation Technology (HeiGIT) also joined. Demands of the GRC and current research work were presented as well as possibilities for future cooperation were discussed. This resulted in various ideas for a future cooperation, especially in the area of crisis information and communication towards decision-makers. Some more concrete application scenarios could already been developed, which are also to be discussed with representatives of the GRC in Berlin at the end of February. The cooperation with the GRC has been intensified over the last few years as part of the Data4Human project and is now to be continued.
