Chair of the DLR Executive Board Prof. Anke Kaysser-Pyzalla visits the Institute of Networked Energy Systems
During her visit to DLR's Oldenburg site on Tuesday, 9 August 2022, Chair of the DLR Executive Board Prof. Dr.-Ing. Anke Kaysser-Pyzalla (right) got an idea of the research priorities at the Institute for Networked Energy Systems. She was accompanied by Dr Sarina Keller, Programme Director Energy at DLR (left), Dr Markus Fischer (Divisional Director Aeronautics) and Magnus Lamp (Programme Director Transport), among others.
During the tour of the Institute's premises, Deputy Director Dr Thomas Vogt (centre) and other researchers at the Institute explained how the major topics of the energy transition – in particular hydrogen, sector integration and the design of future distribution grids – are being researched in current projects. Among other things, they showed why energy meteorology will be of growing importance for electricity traders and distribution grid operators and how the mobility sector can contribute to stabilising future energy systems.
