In the ALAADy-CC (Automated Low Altitude Air Delivery - Cross Country) project, DLR and an interdisciplinary team are researching unmanned low-altitude air freight transport over sparsely populated areas.
The interdisciplinary research project "Morphing Technologies & Artificial Intelligence Research Group" (morphAIR) aims to demonstrate the improvement of flight performance through shape-changing wings and to determine their contribution to increasing the efficiency of fixed-wing aircraft.
Since January 2023, the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) has been building a U-Space real laboratory at the DLR site in Cochstedt with all relevant U-Space services, which is to be set up internally at DLR by December 2026.
