Interdisciplinary research teams at the Institute of Flight Guidance work on optimising airport processes and air traffic management. We research operational procedures, develop innovative technologies and improve human-centred automation in on-board and ground-based systems. Air traffic controller and pilot assistance systems come from our institute, as do innovative guidance systems for taxiing traffic, which are designed to make airports and flying safer and more efficient.
