In accordance with DLR's aviation strategy, digital methods are to be further developed and integrated into a cross-domain development process from design and virtual testing to simulation-based certification in order to reduce risks in aircraft development at an early stage. The Virtual Product House (VPH) in Bremen serves as an integration platform for the necessary methods and processes.
As the Institute of Data Science, we are involved in various areas.
1. Adaptation and application of methods and tools for data analysis and data fusion in the field of Low Velocity Impact Tests (LVI Tests).
2. Evaluation of existing methods and further development of methods for coupling HiFi and LoFi simulations for application to the existing use case.
3. Development of a framework for standardised cross-validation of simulations and experiments.
4. Modeling of data flow in setups for simulation-based certification and automated analysis of possible threats to certification due to tampering or loss of experimental results.
