Data Science Day Jena 2024
Next 8th of May takes place the Data Science Day Jena 2024, organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena.
This event gathers data science entuthiastics from Jena and surroundings with interesting talks on the last advances on the topic and time for exchange with researchers and colleagues.
The Institute for Data Science will be there and some of our projects will be presented during the poster sesion:
Supporting sustainable agricultural decision-making with geodata
Earth observation data helps characterize crop vitality and yield but lacks details on causes of low yield, necessitating farmer expertise. The FieldMApp bridges this information gap by enabling farmers to collect and visualize in situ data. This data is integrated with satellite sensor products and weather information among others, to create comprehensive data products for farmers and agricultural consultants, in order to support agricultural management decisions.
Accurate Architectural Threat Elicitation From Source Code Through Hybrid Information Flow Analysis
In this poster it is analized how reconstructing and refining information flow graphs of software projects allows the identification and mitigation of (information flow-related) threats.
Digital forest inventory by drone
Utilizing drone-based imagery, we facilitate cost-effective digital forest inventories. Through the derivation of 3D representations like point clouds from these images, we employ methodologies aimed at extracting crucial forest parameters such as stem diameter at breast height, tree height, deadwood, and delineation of crown boundaries.
