2/2024 - Project explanation and research updates of the COOPERANTS project
The lighthouse project "Collaborative Processes and Services for Aeronautics and Space", COOPERANTS for short, is a research project in which DLR, together with 11 partners from research and industry, is exploring the possibilities of a GAIA-X data room in the aerospace industry. The aim is to develop more efficient, decentralised forms for future working methods and processes in the aerospace industry and thus strengthen the competitiveness of the sector in Germany and in the European Union.
In our specific work package, we are developing together with the DLR Institute of Software Technology a tool that enables the automated exchange of data between cooperating companies, e.g. along a supply chain. This reduces error-prone manual transfer activities and strengthens the flow of information and co-operation between companies.
The COOPERANTS consortium is made up of the industrial partners Airbus Defence and Space, itemis and OHB System, the SMEs neusta aerospace, RADIUSMEDIA, ScopeSET and ZARM Technik, the startup Valispace and the scientific partners German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence DFKI, Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU, FZI Research Center for Information Technology and the DLR.
The COOPERANTS project is now entering its final year. Results of the project will be published and you can already gain an insight into the current status of the project from the representatives of the COOPERANTS project at the Hannover Messe.
