Hera is a relatively small space probe designed for deep space exploration. Powered by solar cells and a hydrazine propulsion system, Hera is a small-scale mission by interplanetary standards. The spacecraft's cube-shaped body has an edge length of 1.6 metres and is equipped with solar wings measuring 11.5 metres when fully extended. Hera is roughly the size of a small car and when fully fuelled weighs around 1,150 kilograms – which is rather light compared to the three-tonne Rosetta comet hunter.
