Dr. Jens Ortmanns
Dr. Jens Ortmanns has been active in the AG Turbo programme management since May 2023 and has headed the cooling working group since November 2023.
Since 2008, he has worked at Rolls-Royce Germany in the areas of compressor, fan and nacelle development as well as technology management. In August 2021, he took over the management of the "Turbine Aerodynamics and Cooling" group and is also responsible for technology development in this area.
He studied aerospace engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig and the École Nationale Supérieur de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace Toulouse and obtained his doctorate in the field of flow control and measurement technology.
Dr. Jens Ortmanns is an expert in the integrative consideration and analysis of interactions between aero-thermal systems in turbomachinery with the aim of increasing overall performance. His focus is on the close integration of numerical and experimental methods, pursuing pragmatic approaches for implementation in industrial products.
