Dr. Benjamin Witzel took over as Chairman of the AG Turbo programme management in May 2022 and leads the combustion working group. He has worked for Siemens since 2013 and was appointed Head of Fuel Flexibility, Hydrogen and Carbon Capture Department within the Siemens Energy New Technologies division in October 2022.
Previously, he was the technical lead for the development of various combustion systems, including the latest system for the new SGTX-9000HL frame and a new combustion technology for 100% H2 combustion.
He holds a PhD in mechanical engineering in the field of advanced diagnostics application to gas turbine combustion systems.
