Inter Airport Europe 2023
The Inter Airport Europe, the world’s largest trade fair for technologies and innovative solutions for airports took place from 10. – 13.10.2023 in Munich.
The Institute of Technical Physics was represented with the topic of security at airports and introduced project Phylax (personal hybrid laser-based explosives detection). Phylax provides fast and reliable monitoring of people for explosive residues.
This system uses laser spectroscopic technology to detect explosives and allows an analysis within a few seconds from a distance of about one meter.
In contrast to previous swipe samples, this approach offers more comfort for the person being examined, and also increases the throughput per hour.
