De-icing test rig for investigating structure-integrated ice detection and de-icing
The icing of aerodynamic surfaces generally leads to severe performance losses. Ice protection systems are used to counteract this. These can utilise a wide variety of effects. The concepts, some of which are very innovative, need to be further developed for practical use. In order to facilitate research in this field, a test rig has been set up that can generate relevant icing conditions.
