RESITEK - Resilient technologies for disaster control

Crisis management redefined: RESITEK combines technologies for the future of disaster management

Disaster events pose major challenges for civil defence and disaster control, particularly with regard to the availability of communication links, up-to-date data for situation recording and assessment, accessibility of the disaster area despite destroyed infrastructure and the safe transport of goods to and from disaster areas.

The RESITEK project pools DLR's capabilities and technologies from the fields of aviation, space, energy, transport and security in order to integrate technologies and services into a data and visualisation system. This system enables constant situation monitoring and, in the event of a disaster, user-oriented and mission-optimised situational awareness, mission planning and implementation.

The data and visualisation system collects and analyses all relevant data in order to provide recommendations for action in a normal situation and, in the event of a disaster, to make the assistance provided by the authorities and organisations with security tasks (BOS) as efficient and fast as possible. In a joint final demonstration, the interaction of the developed platforms with a wide variety of operational vehicles will be demonstrated in a realistic operational scenario with authorities and stakeholders. For the RESITEK project, this results in a scenario- and user-open approach and the requirement to develop a modular and continuously expandable overall system.
