CARIOQA-PHA Preliminary Requirement Review
CARIOQA-PMP / G.A.C. Group
A meeting of the European partners of the CARIOQA-PHA was held on the 19th and 20th of November at the headquarters of the French Space Agency (CNES) in Toulouse (France) to present preliminary results of the mission requirements. Based on these results, the feasibility study of the mission was validated and is thus an important milestone in the CARIOQA project.
As part of the CARIOQA Phase A study (CARIOQA-PHA) funded by the European Union, a quantum pathfinder mission is being prepared for launch by the end of the decade. The focus is on a quantum accelerometer in space with the evaluation of its performance and limits. This mission will validate key technologies required for the use of highly sensitive quantum sensors on satellites and enable Europe to build such sensors for future missions.

CNES
DLR's Research and Exploration and Earth Observation departments of the German Space Agency at DLR (AR), the Mission Operations department of the Space Operations and Astronaut Training Facility (RB), the Flight Software department of the Institute of Software Technology (SC) and the Quantum Sensors and Satellite Geodesy and Geodetic Modelling departments of the Institute of Satellite Geodesy and Inertial Sensors (SI) are involved in the project.
