MOMS-2P
Taking part in the Russian PRIRODA program, GSOC acted as remote Payload Operations Control Center (POCC). According to scientific and commercial observation requests GSOC operated the German Modular Optoelectronical Multispectral / Stereo Scanner (MOMS-2P) attached to the PRIRODA-module on the MIR space station. The MOMS Scanner was mounted at the Space Station MIR on 5-may-1996. Earlier versions of which flew successfully on the Space Shuttle missions STS 7, STS 11 and D-2 (STS 55). The images are used for studies in geology, ecology, agriculture and other disciplines. The users were no longer limited to scientists also commercial customers were interested.
