:envihab is a medical research facility of the DLR Institute of Aerospace Medicine. Here, research is conducted into the impact of various environmental conditions on humans and possible countermeasures.

The Institute of Aerospace Medicine at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) conducts research at the interface of technology and humans with the aim of improving human health and safety in space, in aviation and on Earth. Biomedical and psychological findings and technological developments from our institute address important social challenges and are incorporated into economic trends. Our departments in Cologne and Hamburg, which have internationally unique research expertise and state-of-the-art infrastructure, cooperate with leading national and international research institutions and industry.
