Structure of a photonic quantum computer
As part of the DLR Quan­tum Com­put­ing Ini­tia­tive, start-up QuiX Quan­tum will de­vel­op pro­to­type pho­ton­ic quan­tum com­put­ers with­in the next four years. An op­ti­cal quan­tum com­put­er con­sists of an in­ter­fer­om­e­ter, light sources and sin­gle-pho­ton de­tec­tors. The im­age shows the in­ter­fer­om­e­ter and in­com­ing and out­go­ing light guides.
