About Volker Kratzenberg-Annies
Volker Kratzenberg-Annies is the coordinator of DLR’s education/outreach activities on behalf of the Executive Board. He develops and coordinates at a variety of measures aiming at children and young people, students and doctoral candidates. Before he came to DLR in 1989, the doctor of political science worked as a newspaper editor and PR consultant.
Volker Kratzenberg-Annies served as press officer for numerous astronauts, then, for several years, he worked as Head of the Press and Public Relations departments of DLR and then the European Space Agency, where he was also Senior Advisor to the Director General. He is the author of several books about space and also takes care of the social media accounts of the DLR Portal for young people, called DLR_next.
