About Nicole Waibel
Even as a schoolgirl, Nicole wrote articles for the regional daily newspaper in her home town. She moved from Lake Constance to Stuttgart to study. And as is only fitting, she began working in the automotive industry after completing her Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Market Communication at the Hochschule der Medien. As an editor in the "Research, Development and Environmental Communications" department at Daimler, she answered press enquiries and wrote briefings for the Board of Management - and completed her Master's degree while working. In her final thesis, she used the example of "autonomous driving" to investigate how public relations can be used to increase the acceptance of new technologies. Nicole has been responsible for all aspects of marketing and public relations at the DLR Institute of Structures and Design since 2014 and is in charge of the Stuttgart and Augsburg sites. When she is not organising events, she writes texts on exciting topics such as re-entry, rocket boosters or crash tests. Outside of DLR, she enjoys spending time with friends doing sports in the fresh air.
