About Marc Deissenroth
Marc Deissenroth studied physics at the Universities of Hamburg and Heidelberg. He obtained a PhD in the field of high energy physics, which led him, among other things, to undertake a research visit to the European nuclear research centre in Geneva (CERN). After his time in fundamental research, he became a consultant at SAP Germany AG & Co. KG, where he focused on advising clients in the energy industry. Fascinated by the complexity of the industry, he became interested in studying the business processes in this area and also to investigate it scientifically, and went back to research.
Since early 2013 he has been a research associate in the Department of Systems Analysis and Technology Assessment at the Institute of Technical Thermodynamics at the German Aerospace Center (DLR ) in Stuttgart. His research interests include the study of strategies for sustainable development in energy and the analysis of political incentives to multi-agent systems.
