About GSOC team
This is the blog of the GSOC team at the German Space Operations Centre – featuring plenty of exciting news from the Space Operations and Astronaut Training facility. We provide an insight into current projects and an outlook on what is to come. In the future, we want to go even further: to the Moon and Mars. We can proudly say that our Columbus Control Centre (Col-CC), the European Astronaut Centre (EAC) and the Microgravity User Support Center (MUSC) are the only European facilities, alongside CADMOS, B.USOC and BIOTESC as support centres, that have a wealth of experience in the operation of human spaceflight missions. Building on this, DLR, together with ESA, would like to make a substantial contribution to human spaceflight in the coming decades – for example, by operating a crewed habitat on the Lunar Gateway or the surface of the Moon.
