Research Data Management (RDM) is a central component of data-intensive research. The RDM team provides DLR researchers with the appropriate tools and services to help them with both organisational and technical tasks.
Research Data Management includes:
planning research data management
taking into account the regulatory framework
considering funding
creating a data management plan
operating and making an open data repository available
ensuring quality management and recording metadata
securing research data
supporting long-term archiving
In principle, the responsibility for managing research data, especially those generated in projects and programmes, lies with the DLR institutes / facilities.
