Corporate Development

Organisational Development is focused on ensuring the long-term success of DLR by informing decision-making related to the strategic management of the Executive Board. The department is divided into four thematic areas.

Strategic Analysis is responsible for standardisation related to the definition, recording, presentation and dissemination of scientific performance indicators, key figures and analyses from internal sources that are relevant to management.

The Stakeholder Management group is the central point of contact for appointments of the Executive Board with high-ranking interlocutors from government and is responsible for advising on protocol issues as well as initiating, organising and coordinating these appointments. The group also handles enquiries from parliamentarians on behalf of DLR.

The DLR Berlin Representative Office promotes DLR's professional exchange with federal and state politicians. It facilitates parliamentary events and expert discussions and liaises with central political stakeholders. The office also observes and analyses political developments and prepares DLR expertise for policymakers.

Finally, the International Relations group is DLR's 'foreign affairs office' and supports the Executive Board in its external representation with regard to international partners. It also supports the institutes, the German Space Agency at DLR, the Divisional Board and the DLR Projektträger in the initiation and implementation of international projects.
